Britt Quentin’s breakaway from Michael Jackson universe finally didn’t last very long. 5 months after quitting the west end production, he joined the touring cast that has just started 7 weeks of shows in Macau.

Chosen as the first show at the Parisian Macau

Having performed in more than 30 countries, Thriller Live continually expands his success worldwide. The company is now back for a new stopover in Asia after having toured in Japan, Korea or Malaysia in the past years. Macau is their second chinese destination: Beijing also hosted the shows in 2010. Thriller Live has been chosen for the opening of the Parisian theatre, in Macau, the gaming capital of China.

The Parisian is a new casino resort which greeted his first guests on Tuesday, September 13th. For this special occasion, some members of west end cast came to China and performed an impressive flashmob of Michael Jackson music. Among them, singers David Jordan, Haydon Eshun, Angelica Allen; and dancers Ebony Clarke, Helen Parsons, Victoria Lamm, Alex Jackson, Steven Thompson and Joshua Ivey.

Obviously it was an efficient ad to promote shows, coming next. From September 30th to November 13th, the Parisian’s Macau is holding his first show with Thriller Live. Regular performers are composing the cast, from either west end or past tours. Lead vocals for these 7 weeks will be: Britt Quentin, Shaquille Hemmans, Rory Taylor and Cleo Higgins. And finally Sean Christopher will hit the stage portraying Michael Jackson.

Adjustments made for the residency in Macau

Macau shows are shortest replicas of London’s ones. Live musicians are playing behind the stage, choregraphies and costumes are coming straight from Europe too. On the other hand, all songs aren’t performed like in West end, as the show only last 90 minutes against 2 hours and a half in London. Thriller Live’s direction focused on keeping the most successful songs of Michael Jackson. Therefore Macau shows are shortened, but not less exciting!

No doubt that these performances will remind Britt Quentin his debut in the tribute to the King of Pop. Indeed, he started singing with Thriller Live in european and asian tours before joining London cast! Are you around Macau within the next 6 weeks? Book your tickets on The Parisian Macau’s website.
