Every year, Olivier Awards reward the best shows in London west end. This year and for the very first time, “This morning” TV programme works in partnership with Olivier Awards to create a special recompense. The “This morning audience reward” will honour the most popular West End production as votes are opened to the public. Thriller Live is part of nominees of Olivier Awards 2015!

The cast of the 16 running shows for this special award got together at the Royal Opera House for a photography session. Britt Quentin and Daniel Odejinmi (young Michael Jackson) stroke a pose for The Guardian picture, representing Thriller Live. Take a look at this theatre and musical meeting on The Guardian’s website and watch the backstage of the shoot at the Royal Opera House :

Even if Thriller Live is running in West End since more than 6 years, the show is still supported by musical’s audience. Actually Thriller live extends booking at the Lyric theater until 2016 April 17th.

No doubt that it will break other records during this new year. 4 months after becoming the 20th longest-running musical in London west end, the musical has reached the 19th place while giving their 2,530th show, going over Grease on January 25th. And on April 12th, Thriller Live will overtake the 18th position to Oliver! and their 2,618 performances.

Take a few time to support Thriller Live for this competition on Olivier Awards’s website (opened for UK residents only). Votes for this first round will close on March 5th at noon. Next, nominations for the second round will be anounced on March 9th with the vote opening until April 10th. Then the audience choice will be revealed on April 12th, during the Olivier Awards 2015 ceremony.
